We work at the materials-biology interface with applications in water treatment processes and biotechnology. We have particular expertise in bacterial adhesion and biofilms. Our work spans fundamental research (funded by the European Research Council, SFI & IRC) to applied research (funded by Enterprise Ireland and Industry partners). Our research has been commercialised through a UCD spin-out company, OxyMem.
