Abstract
Impact assessment collaboration between academics and consultants allows access to varied pools of expertise and skillsets, bridging theory and practice and facilitating applied research; better project outputs and deliverables that can have a greater policy and practice impact; and longer-term learning by all parties that can translate into better future work. Current limitations mainly relate to administrative burdens, including budgetary and time input aspects.
