Abstract
Three weeks ago, an Irish citizen attacked schoolchildren in Dublin with a knife. Thanks to the selfless intervention of the teacher, a Brazilian Deliveroo courier and a French waiter, the perpetrator was overpowered. Incited by right-wing extremist false reports about the "foreign" knife attacker on the Internet, around two hundred rioting youths then marched through the city center and set fire to police cars, buses and a tram. Several shops and department stores were also looted. Nevertheless, the government is currently doing everything it can to further fuel social tensions in Ireland. Instead of breaking the power of greedy homeowners and investing more money in housing, it announced that it would only accommodate new Ukrainian refugees for 90 days in the future. New male refugees from other countries have not been given shelter since last week. Instead, the government is giving them a tent, a sleeping bag and 113 euros per week. Nevertheless, war refugees from all countries are still welcome, according to Leo Varadkar.
