Abstract
Since 1995, Broadcom, a telecommunications research company, has been providing Internet access to three schools in Ireland as part of a project named 'Classroom of the Future'. This paper describes the technical and educational issues addressed by the project and makes recommendations on the use of the Internet in the classroom.
