Abstract
Two important infectious causes of lameness in Irish sheep flocks are Infectious Foot Rot and CODD. They are both contagious bacterial diseases and, therefore, affected sheep must be regarded as a source of infection for non-infected sheep in the flock and managed accordingly with appropriate treatment, segregation and culling.
