Abstract
This book review praises the motivation of the book to expose the racialisation of CEE citizens in the EU, and in particular the detailed recount of how, in a UK context, discrimination of "free movers" from CEE countries could partially be addressed as race discrimination. It is critical of the lack of contextualising the social discrimination of CEE workers in the UK and other EU countries with widely discussed matters in EU law and policy such as posting of workers, the CJEU's restrictive approach to defining race and ethnicity, and the EU political institutions' division on how to best address racist discrimination (via criminal law or discrimination law for example). It concludes that the book is a worthwhile read, especially its chapter 4
