Abstract
Declan McCarthy is from Skibbereen in west Cork and has been working in the arts for over 30 years. His family were in the bar business where there was always live music. He promoted his first live concert in 1990 and established the Baltimore Fiddle Fair in 1992. Originally a week of concerts in the family bar in Baltimore, it changed to its current format in 2006, 4 days of world-class traditional and folk music, in various venues around the beautiful seaside village of Baltimore. Attracting performers and audiences from all over the world, it truly is 'The Small Festival with The Big Reputation'.
