Abstract
This Op-Ed analyses the minimal protection for EU citizens who failed to attain 'settled status' in the UK due to the UK's hesitant implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement, affecting an estimated 2.2 million people who were granted 'pre-settled status' and did not meet the resi-dency requirement before Brexit day
