Abstract
For more details please refer to Chapter 4 (Gcode4.1), of the following book: Soroudi, Alireza. Power System Optimization Modeling in GAMS. Springer, 2017. This chapter provides a solution for dynamic economic dispatch (DED) problem in GAMS. DED refers to dispatch a set of units over a given operating horizon (usually 24 h). The on/off status of units is assumed to be known. Two paradigms of DED are discussed and modeled, namely cost-based DED and price-based DED. Finally, the linearized version of DED is provided.
