The School of Applied Social Science is a centre of excellence for research, teaching and professional training in the applied social sciences, social policy and social work. The School is actively engaged in research in a wide range of policy areas, such as child and family welfare, housing, family policy, social integration, community development, health policy, disability and addiction. In addition development of theoretical perspectives in applied social science features in the research output.
