Underneath the bust are the words "John J Hearne 1893-1969 – Architect of the 1937 Constitution". It is difficult to think of any comparable monument to an Irish civil servant. This lasting monument to John Hearne has now been complemented by this fine biography written by Eugene Broderick, another Waterford native.||Type of material:||Review||Publisher:||Round Hall||Journal:||The Irish Jurist||Volume:||60||Start page:||189||End page:||192||Keywords:||Irish Constitution; Civil servants||Subject LCSH:||Hearne, John J., 1893-1969||Other versions:||http://www.irishjurist.com/index.htm||Language:||en||Status of Item:||Peer reviewed|
