Abstract: The delivery of therapeutic peptides via the oral route remains a great challenge for the pharmaceutical industry. Oral delivery is the most convenient administration route, as it leads to higher patient compliance than for sub-cutaneous and intra-muscular injections and, for some chronic diseases, to earlier adoption of treatment.
