These composites are believed to have a high potential for applications in structural automotive components. However, methods need to be developed for faster manufacturing and reliable prediction of the component mechanical performance and failure. A practical approach of finite element modelling of the stiffness and strength behaviour of these composites is briefly discussed.||Type of material:||Journal Article||Publisher:||Springer-Verlag||Copyright (published version):||2000 Springer-Verlag||Keywords:||Textile composite;Damage modelling;Commingled yarns||DOI:||10.1007/s004660000176||Language:||en||Status of Item:||Peer reviewed|
