| dc.description.abstract | On the 19th of January 2015, the Irish Independent reported on the case of a primary teacher who was awarded compensation following an interview for the principalship of the school in which she taught. The teacher had been asked “What about the homos?” during questioning on the Forum on Pluralism and Patronage by one member of the interview panel, a religious sister. The investigating Equality Officer found this question, along with a number of others, discriminatory and, therefore, unlawful and awarded €54,000 to the teacher. | en |
