Although women graduate from schools of architecture in equal numbers to men, only approximately 30% of registered architects in Ireland are women. This study is exploratory in nature — it did not begin with a specific hypothesis to test — and therefore explores likely factors contributing to this imbalance, including workplace cultures, experiences and perceptions of gender inequality, sexism and discrimination.enArchitecture professionInequalityGenderIntersectionalitiesWork-family conflictLeaving architectureRegister of architectsIrelandGender Equity in Irish Architecture Final ReportTechnical Report2025-05-02EPSPD/2022/10https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ie/
