This was part of a wider study on the psychiatric and personality characteristics of sexual offenders (Fazel et al., 2002). The control group was chosen in order to attempt to account for non-specific offender effects, and allow for comparison with demographic variables that might confound any potential association.enThis is the pre-peer reviewed version of the following article: Fazel, S,O'Donnell, I,Hope, T,Gulati, G,Jacoby, R (2007) "Frontal lobes and older sex offenders: a preliminary investigation" International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry doi: 10.1002/gps.1648 which has been published in final form at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/gps.1648.PersonalityFrontal lobes and older sex offenders: a preliminary investigationJournal Article221878910.1002/gps.16482017-02-27https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ie/
